The Ruby Enterprises Group - Ruby Enterprises (Hong Kong) - Ryyty Apparel Resources (India)

Our companies, which are spread out in six main sites throughout the Far East - in Hong Kong, Vietnam (HCMC/Saigon and Hanoi), India (Bangalore) and mainland China, is young, fresh and efficient, and we are therefore able to compete at the highest level. The three Executive Directors have over 60 years joint experience in the garment industry and worked for and were trained by a company which has been active in this industry for nearly 140 years.

Our company was formed with a view to providing the garment industry in Asia with trims that signify the latest trends in design, styles and material.

The product ranges of Ruby Enterprises and Ryyty consist of buttons, zippers, snap fasteners, buckles, toggles, cords, cord locks, waistband fastening hooks and bars, trimmings and other associated product lines.

Ruby Enterprises and Ryyty specialise in metal, polyester, urea, real corozo and real horn buttons for men's fine tailored clothing and supplies buttons for blazers, suits, sport coats, tuxedos, top coats, etc. for brands of international repute.

Ruby Enterprises and and Ryyty supply certified products that have passed Oeko-Tex standard 100, tests that fulfil all human ecological requirements of the European Union legislation.

Chairman of Ryyty Apparel Resources Ilan Shavit -

Ilan is a senior partner in a large Tel Aviv law firm, and a chairman and director in local and international companies. Ilan's great-grandfather was founder of Butonia in Frankfurt in 1865, his grandfather founded Butonia UK in 1928 and his father was the Managing Director of Butonia UK and subsequently the Butonia Group Chairman for over 60 years. Ilan served as a Director of the Butonia Group from 1989 until 2002 when the founding families sold out, after which Ilan led the management buy-out of the Butonia Group's Far East and Indian businesses and their re-establishment as the Ruby Enterprises Group, subsequently rebranded in India as Ryyty.

Managing Director Robert Kitchingman -

Robert worked for Butonia from 1959 to 2002 and served as the Manager of the Leeds, UK office and as Joint Managing Director of Butonia UK. Robert initiated and opened the Butonia companies in India and Hong Kong and has lived and worked in Asia since 1997. In 2002, after the Butonia founding families sold their shares, Robert and Ilan founded the Ruby Enterprises Group on the basis of the Butonia businesses in the Far East which were acquired from Butonia, and invited Ruby and Ravi to join them.

Director - Hong Kong and Mainland China Ruby Albano David -

Ruby Albano David worked with Robert in Butonia Hong Kong for several years, acquiring valuable experience, and has managed Ruby Enterprises Hong Kong since 2002. Ruby now manages the Ruby Enterprises subsidiary in mainland China as well. Ruby has also worked with Robert in the other Butonia Far East businesses, in Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Bangladesh and the Philippines, where she underwent training in a major garment factory. Ruby joined Ilan, Robert and Ravi in the management buy-out of the Butonia Far East businesses in 2002 - and the new group was named after her, in appreciation of her talent and experience!

Managing Director - Ryyty (India) Ravishankar Seshan -

Ravishankar Seshan is a management graduate from one of the premier business schools in India and has worked in the garment industry in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh for over a decade. When Robert formed Butonia India in 1997 he employed Ravi as the Country Manager. After Ruby Enterprises was established in October 2002, Butonia India was acquired from the Butonia Group and Ravi and his team became part of Ruby Enterprises. The Indian company was subsequently rebranded as Ryyty.
